According to the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), in May 2026, the number of international visitors to Vietnam is estimated to reach 1.78 million, representing an increase of 16.5% compared to the same period in 2025.
For the first five months of 2026, the total number of international visitors to Vietnam reached 10.6 million. This marks an increase of 14.9% compared to the same period in 2025, setting the highest number for the first five months of any year to date.

- 🚢 By Sea: 202,400 visitors ➔ accounting for 1.9% and increasing by 15.4%.
Notably, contributing to the outstanding overall results of the country, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the two leading cities at opposite ends of the country, also achieved promising and positive results.

Meanwhile, the latest figures released by Ho Chi Minh City show that the city welcomed nearly 5 million international tourists, generating 172 trillion VND in revenue, affirming its leading position in the national tourism industry.
