Visa stamping process at Vietnam international airports
At Vietnam international airports (Ho Chi Minh Airport, Hanoi Airport, Danang Airport, etc.), you will get your visa stamped at the “Landing Visa area”. And here are the steps you need to take to get your visa stamp:
➤ Step 1: Immediately after landing, you will go to the Landing visa area and submit your original passport, a printed copy of the visa approval letter, a fully filled-out Visa On Arrival Form and 2 passport photos (4x6cm). Then, you wait for the immigration officer to process and stamp your visa on your passport.

➤ Step 2: While waiting, you should focus on the visa stamping counter. When you hear the immigration officer call your name, you will have to pay the visa stamping fee (in cash, which can be in USD or VND). This officer will return your passport with the visa stamp to you along with the stamping fee receipt.
The visa will be stamped onto your passport after you paid the stamping fee at Vietnam airport
➤ Step 3: At this point, please carefully check the information on your visa. If there is no error, you can leave the Visa Counter to go to the Security Checkpoint. If there is an error, please report it immediately to the immigration officer before leaving the Security Checkpoint.
In short, to get a visa stamp issued at the airport, you may have to wait in line for 15-30 minutes, or even 1-2 hour if you arrive in Vietnam during the holidays, or during peak hours.
