If my passport is damaged, lost or expired, what should I do?

If your passport is damaged, lost or expired, you need to go through the procedure of reissuing your passport including: 

*Required documents:

• Declaration of application for a passport in form X01.
• 04 new photos, size 4x6 cm, face straight, head bare, white background.
• In case the passport is lost, a report of the passport loss shall be submitted (certified by the local authorities).
• In case the passport expires, submit the old passport.
• A copy of the identity document (identity card or citizen identification card).

*Where to apply:

• Immigration Department of the Ministry of Public Security.
• Immigration Department of the Police of the province or centrally-run city where they reside or work.

*Processing time: 08 working days from the date of receipt of complete and valid documents. 

Note: The newly issued passport will have a new passport number, which does not duplicate with the old passport number.
