1. Common problems when applying for a Vietnam visa
- Missing documents or documents that do not meet requirements: not attaching a copy of the passport in the application, the passport has a cut corner, the passport is too shiny to see the information, the photo is too small and blurry, etc.
- Leaving the visa application with the wrong entry date
- Passport has expired or is valid for less than 6 months, cannot apply for a Vietnam Evisa
- Passport has run out of blank pages to stamp entry
- Vietnam currently only accepts processing entry visas for foreigners with ordinary passports.
- For visitors who have just left Vietnam and then immediately applied for a new visa, the Government may require foreigners to present additional information to process the visa application
2. Problems when using visas
• Unable to enter even with a visa: visitors who have renewed their passports cannot use the visa according to the old passport to enter Vietnam, any incorrect information on the visa such as passport number, name, date of birth will be denied entry
• Visa expiration: Overstaying may result in a fine and a ban on future entry.
• Violating the law in Vietnam may result in a ban on future entry
- Unable to enter Vietnam before the valid visa period.
- Visa has expired, although not used, but cannot be edited or extended
3. Notes when applying for a visa
• Prepare complete and accurate documents.
• Submit visa application at least a few weeks, even a few months in advance.
• Save copies of documents and information related to the visa.
• Enter and exit according to the valid time of the visa
