Instructions for taking photos for Vietnam visa application

To apply for a Vietnam visa , you need to prepare a passport photo (personal information page) and a portrait photo (ID photo) according to the prescribed standards. Below are detailed instructions for a valid photo and to avoid rejection :
📘 1. Passport photo page:
✅ Requirements:
The first page of the passport contains personal information and a portrait photo.
Images are clear, not blurred, glare, cut corners or lost information .
The entire passport page must fit completely within the frame (no cropped edges).
Photos must be in JPEG, JPG or PNG format .
Image size under 2MB (depending on system).
📸 Tip: Take your passport photo on a flat background, with no shadows, even lighting, and no glare on the barcode or text.

👤 2. Portrait photo (ID photo):
✅ Portrait photo requirements (Vietnam visa):
White or light background , no pattern.
Take a frontal shot , head straight, eyes looking straight into the camera.
No sunglasses, hats, headphones , headscarves (except for religious reasons, but not face coverings).
Face should be clear, not covered by hair or shadows .
New photo taken within 6 months .
Image file under 2MB , JPG or PNG format .
